Lisa van Muilekom
This was not the first time that the owner of
the house, Lisa van Muilekom, had shown her attachment to the European
heritage by the acquisition of usually historical houses with character.
And so she arrived in Belgium in 1997 to acquire a small fine Château
in the community of Rendeux in the quaint picturesque village of Ronzon.
This chateau became the home for especially classical music and poetry
lovers. Lisa enjoys bringing her guests in mind back to the 18th century
or beyond, back to the time where early music first was performed. Lisa
once had started her career as a social worker in Canada next to simultaneously
following a dance education. Therefore she performed amongst other things
with the Canadian National Folkdance company. Through marriage she ended
up in historic Puerto Rico ,where her husband had a fine gastronomic
French Restaurant. After returning to the Netherlands she decided to
open her beautiful classical home in Dieren for the performing arts.
This was so successful that the music passionates asked to stay overnight,
and so a very interesting Bed and Breakfast was started!
Many concerts where from then on organized. It is still normal to enjoy
a calendar of events at the moment. Although the most charming way of
having a feast with guests from all over the world is that guests exchange
their talents with other guests!!
